About me
He is, above all, a practicing lawyer who has devoted the vast majority of his professional career to conducting court proceedings, often involving multi-million dollar disputes.
He advises clients on comprehensive dispute resolution, developing litigation strategies, and assessing the risks associated with litigation. He represents clients before common and administrative courts, as well as the Supreme Court.
During his many years of practice, Michał Mulik has handled various civil and commercial proceedings, including cases of high factual and legal complexity. His experience includes:
– compensation disputes – both tortious and contractual, often involving complex factual situations and multi-party claims;
– unjust enrichment cases;
– employment disputes – concerning termination of employment contracts, mobbing, and violations of non-compete clauses;
– actio paulana, reconciliation of land and mortgage registers, and actions to annul resolutions of corporate bodies;
– complex settlement disputes – with lessors and concerning the settlement of leasehold expenditures;
– company dissolution cases, compulsory share buyout cases;
– disputes concerning remuneration for the use of an invention.
He worked extensively with a qualified restructuring advisor, which allowed him to accumulate extensive experience in handling bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings. He has participated in, among others:
– the bankruptcy of a large housing cooperative;
– the bankruptcy of a cooperative savings and credit union;
– the bankruptcy of a developer – including the protection of purchasers of units;
– bankruptcy proceedings involving construction companies, hotels, and a large-scale shopping center;
– the restructuring of a retail company with debt exceeding PLN 150 million;
– the restructuring of a company in the clothing industry.
Michał Mulik has extensive experience in negotiating settlements at every stage of the proceedings – from pre-trial trials, through mediation, to negotiations during court proceedings.
He also has extensive experience drafting appeals and interlocutory appeals. He has successfully challenged unfavorable first-instance court rulings and successfully defended against appeals from opposing parties. His ability to accurately identify procedural and substantive errors is one of his key competencies.
